Welcome to the Radiology Department
Every day our department cares for the sick
and injured. Many times it is our "Radiographic Image" that provides a
diagnosis for the Physician.
We understand
that our "images" save lives and we vow to provide quality, compassionate
care.
The installation of
the Cedara Picture
Archiving Communication System (PACS) in November 2008 and the purchase of
the Siemens 16 Slice C.T scanner in March of 2009, confirms Morris
County Hospitals commitment to patient care.
Instead of film X-rays, we now use PACS to review diagnostic images
digitally via the computer. PACS technology gives physicians convenient
access to these highly-detailed images to aid in their diagnosis, treatment,
evaluation and follow-up.
Additional features of our image
management system include:
· -
Safe, secure
transmission and storage of records.
·
- Physicians
and technologists can securely access information on demand, from any workstation, at any time.
·
- Clinicians
can rotate, magnify and compare studies online and share with referring
physicians and surgeons to facilitate a faster diagnosis.
This important web based technology has
the ability to deliver timely and efficient access to images and
interpretations. In emergency situations it offers the speed and
convenience necessary to save lives.
